If on a winters night a traveler

I have never before read such a lyrical, and somewhat confusing book.

Has anyone read this? I'm only halfway through this one, and I usually hold off on my reccomendations, but I really like this one folks. It's by Italo Calvino

"If on a winters night a traveler turns out to be not one novel but 10, each with a different plot style, ambiance, and author, and each interrrupted at a moment of suspense. Together they form a labyrinth of literatures, known and unknown, alive and extinct, through which two readers, a male and a female, pursue both the storylines that intrigue them and one another. THey are the true heroes of the novel, for what would reading be without readers?"

this also happens to be the first occasion where I was out in public with a book and someone said "good book". This probably doesn't mean anything but it affirmed my approval of the book.

Go read it!
